IUCCA Upper Cervical Chiropractic Care
Scientific, Objective, Precise

Male, age 4 months - Left Torticollis
Mother brought her 4 month old child in because he could not or would not turn his head to the right and was developing a flat spot on the left side of his head. The inability to turn his head also made it difficult for the mother to breast feed. Manually turning the baby's head was possible but very difficult due tight neck muscles on the left. Massage and stretching was attempted with no success.

The Parspinal nervous system scan revealed significant temperature discrepancies indicating abnormal nervous system function. Neck muscles of the left side of the neck were very tight. After a left atlas adjustment was made no significant changes were noticelable. Switched the adjustment to the right side of the atlas and the muscles began to relax. After 4 more office visits and three more adjsutments the baby had full range of motion and paraspinal nervous system scans appeared normal.

Female, age 57 - Vertigo
Female reported having vertigo for 18 years with no relief. Many of the doctors had said this is something you are going to have to learn to live with. she had tried full spine chiropractic with four different doctors of varying techniques, 2 different physical therapists, and 2 D.O.'s with minimal success. The virtigo started a year after a whiplash injury sustained from an auto accident.

The specific upper cervical x-ray analysis revealed the Atlas to be posterior in relationship to the occiput and to the left. The Paraspinal nervous system scans also revealed abnormal nervous system function. After the first adjustment the virtigo diminished by 80% three days later. Miniaml virtigo symptoms persisted for the next two months. After 5 months of care the virtigo occured maybe once or twice a month but for only a few minutes at a time. After six months of care there was no virtigo for an entire month. Total length of care was 6 months, 54 office visits and 34 adjustments

Female, age 7 - Severe Chronic Asthma
Histroy revealed the young girl was born prematurely and has had breathing difficulty since birth. She uses her inhaler daily and occsionally needs a device to assist in her brething. Anxiety, over activity and some animal dander wili trigger and attack.

Examination revealed abnormal movement of the head and neck and x-rays confirmed the atlas was misaligned to the left. After six weeks of care asthmatic episodes had reduced by half. After 3 months of Care she onger needed the use of her inhaler and was able to participate in more recreational activities. Between the third and sixth month of care she had zero asthmatic occurrences. During the 6 month period of care she had 40 office visits and 12 adjustments.

Male, age 50 - Chronic Migraines, Sciatica, Bipolar Disorder He reported suffering from migraines weekly and bipolar disorder for at least 20 years. The sciatica has been an issue for at least 3 years. He had been in 4 automobile accidents and 1 motorcycle accident. Migraines started one year after the first car accident.

Upper cervical xray examination revealed a misalignment and abnormal motion of the C2 (axis) vertebrae. After the first C2 correction on the right the Migrianes stopped for two weeks. For the next three months he experienced only four migraines. The next three months he had three migrines but the intensity and duration of each migriane had decreased considerably. He continued with care on a once a month schedule for three more months and only one migraine during that time period. Total care period lasted for 9 months.

Female, age 29 - Whiplash, Vertigo, Neck and Shoulder Pain
She reported that she had been in a car accident over a year ago. At the time she had been diagnosed with a whiplash injury and had Physical Therapy treatment for three months. One year later she still has neck and shoulder pain and started experiencing vertigo two months ago.

The upper cervical x-rays revealed a left atlas subluxation, the computed infrared thermography indicated that abnormal nervous system function could be present. The muscles on the left side of her neck were very thight and tender and decreased range of motion in her neck. She was under care for a total of 6 months. Neck and shoulder pain was gone after 6 weeks however no change with the vertigo. After 3 months of care the intensity of the vertigo began to decrease. After 4 months of care the vertigo ceased. The last 2 months of care she was symptom free and her CIT (computed infrared thermography) scans were consistently normal.

Male, age 32 - Chronic Headcahes
History of 2-3 headaches per week for the last 5 years. Has been in multiple car accidents and has taken blows to the head while practicing martial arts.

Examination revealed a misalignment and abnormal motion of the C2 vertebrae. Computed Infrared Thermography scans also revealed abnormal nervous system function. He reported that after 1 month of care the intensity of headaches improved but the frquency was the same. After 1 month he decided to discontinue care because the recovery was not developing fast enough. Uncertain if symptoms continued to improve or not.

Female, age 31 - Vertigo, Chronic Headaches
No history She reported having 3-4 headaches a week for the last 12 years. In the last 4 years there has been an increase in frequency of random dizzy spells.

She has a long history of being involved in multiple sports in high school and college where an injury could have easily occurred. Upper cervical x-rays revealed an Atlas (C1 Vertebrae) misalignment to the right and abormal nervous system function as indicated by the Computed Infrared Thermography. All of her headaches stopped after the 3rd month of care and her diziness stopped after the 5th month of care. During her 6th month of care she did not need any adjustments and she remained headche free. A total of 6 months of care.
